WELCOME to my website! 

As a certified yoga teacher I have been teaching Yoga since 2015. My classes are designed to be enjoyable and accessible, Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced practitioner, I am here to help guide you on your yoga journey. My classes are focusing on improving flexibility, strength, balance and relaxation.
I offer yoga classes at the WI in Marple Bridge and at the Quakers Meeting House in Disley.  I also teach online Yin and Restorative Yoga and One-to-One classes.

No matter your age or ability, yoga can benefit everyone. My mission is to share the benefits of yoga with all, so come join me on a journey of discovery, exploration, and relaxation.

Yoga is a journey

My first encounter with yoga was as a teenager in  Germany when my mum and I got inspired by a TV programme and I have been practicing ever since.

Although, there were times in my life when Yoga took a back seat, I always came back to it because of the benefits Yoga brings to physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. 

In 2015 I completed my 200hrsYTT Teacher Training with "Siddhi Yoga" in India and I have been teaching

Hatha Yoga classes ever since.  As part of my professional development I received

further  teacher training in Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga with the

inspiring Canadian Yoga teacher and educator Eva Hamilton. 


My own yoga practice over the past 30 years has been mainly Iyengar Yoga, which is reflected in my teaching. 

For several years I attended weekly classes in "Pranayama", yogic practice of breath control.

I also have a regular meditation practice.

 Ever since I first came into contact with Yoga I have been fascinated by the origin of Yoga, Yogis and Yoga philosophy and Buddhist philosophy. Over the past 10 years I have been fortunate to be able to spend many months in India and to attend retreats at the “Phool Chatti Ashram” in Rishikesh and the "Tushita Buddhist Meditation Centre" in Dharamkot and many Yoga classes at  "The Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre" in Dharamshala, "Mahi Yoga Centre" in Dharamshala and Goa.   I also spent time at Thich Nath Hanh Plumvillage in France where I received the "5 Mindfulness Training".
